One of the main roles which are performed by the skin is to act as a barrier from various elements. The skin protects from temperature variations, chemical radiations, microorganism and mechanical impacts of pressure. Here in this topic, we are going to discuss the types of warts along with the symptoms in detail.

A wart is explained as a small growth with a dull texture that appears anywhere on the body. It seems like a cauliflower or a solid blister.

The viruses namely human papillomavirus (HPV) family contributes to the wart.

Types of warts:-

1. Plantar warts

Warts which are appeared on the soles of the feet, heels, and toes are termed as plantar warts. These warts are very painful and normally grown into the sole of foot because the weight of the person pushes weight onto the foot sole.

They normally possess a small black dot located in the center and surrounded by white hard tissue. It becomes very difficult to clear this kind of warts.

2. Plane warts

These warts are smooth, flat and round in shape and appeared in brownish, yellowish and skin color. These warts are also popularly called as flat warts as they occurred on open areas which are directly exposed to the sun. They appeared in a larger number and most likely get disappear without treatment.

3. Filiform warts

These warts are appeared in thin and long. They can appear on necks, armpits and on eyelids steadily.

4. Mosaic warts

These warts are multiple plantar warts which appear on the body in a large group.

Different from moles, warts appeared on the person’s body in the same color as the skin of the person. Pus cannot be contained by warts unless they become infected.

If an infection arises then you may require medical treatment along with antibiotics.
